ABOUT ME

Diana Kubista is a freelance Production Designer and Art Director based in Toronto and has been working in the film industry since 2002. In that time, she has worked on commercials, tv shows, short films, print advertising. Her diverse repertoire of practical and creative experiences allows her to apply different onset skills and problem-solving techniques to each of these mediums from pre-production to wrap.

As a graduate of Film Studies at York University, Toronto, Diana established a foundation of her personal style, which can be best described as nostalgic and classic, rich in texture and symbolism stemming from her Czech and Croatian foundation.

She brings a broad knowledge of skills to her work duties which include providing clients computer art renderings, design references, and sourcing materials. Diana also produces custom art work pieces, posters, logos, and job specific websites to display art direction references. Her body of work has included living spaces, kids’ rooms, outdoor facades, and standing sets for ongoing shows.

When Diana is not designing sets, she combines her skills to design and decorate events, renovate residential and commercial properties, as well as consulting for numerous private clients. She believes excitement and inspiration in the creative process comes from good communication, teamwork, and always keeping an open mind.
